The Original Gypsy Gripper
and the new Little Gripper

You know how those quilting rulers will slip, cause us to lose a strip of our expensive quilting fabric. And what about those fingers we use to steady the ruler? They are precariously close to that rotary blade.

Fear not - there is a new tool to the rescue. These Grippers were invented to not only protect our precious fingers, but also to offer a way to get a good, steady grip on our rulers.

The Gypsy Gripper's handle is comfortable in the hand. It weighs just under 8 ounces, is 3.75" wide and 11.50" long and 3.25" high. The Gripper has a much wider reach than your fingers do. This is similar to two hands in different places holding on to ruler. There is a large, round suction cup at each end of the Gripper. Through flippable levers you can lock the Gypsy Gripper in place on any plastic or metal ruler that has a smooth surface. And it locks tight! With gentle, downward pressure you can now keep your ruler positioned accurately. No more crab-walking with your hands to try to keep those long rulers from slipping. With another flip of the levers, the Gypsy Gripper will release its grip.

The Little Gripper is lightweight, and the base has a diameter of 2 and one eight inches across.

The Grippers are meant for smooth surface rulers (like the plastic ones we quilters use) This includes most rectangle, square, or triangle shapes where there are no slots or holes to interfere with the suction cups. The Gypsy Gripper works on rulers that are at least 4 inches wide. The Little Gripper can be used on rulers that are a minimum of 3 inches wide. No more cramping hands during those long cutting sessions.
