Mountain Patchwork Patterns
 
  I made a U-Turn at Market when I saw the following Mountain Patchwork Patterns. They are a mixture of quilting and embroidery resulting in beautiful framed works of art. Some can grow to become wonderful quilts too. All these patterns can be hand pieced using a stitch called the Promise Stitch (Double Stitch). This craft, orgininating with the Appalachian Mountain people, is enjoying a revival in the country. The stitch has been handed down from generation to generation.
